This robot explores the idea of being less finished, or perhaps made where materials and repairs are scarce. This one again took a lot of gluing to get it to support it’s own weight, taking a second day of touching up to make it fully stable.
This robot is made from a laser focusing lens from a DVD drive. It’s very, very small and was great fun to build.
Another teeny tiny robot today and another experiment in simplicity. Today’s robot is made using a motor from a digital camera zoom. The lower enameled wire was replaced making it one of the fiddliest builds so far, but fantastic to see the result.
