My first entry into the 30 days of robots challenge comes from one of the old DC hobby servos originally meant to go into the Altoids Drone. I’m particularly fond of the backpack on this one, made from a mouse scroll wheel’s rotary encoder.
Keeping with the theme started yesterday, day 2’s robot uses the same DC servo motor, but explores the robot in maintenance; split in half at the waist and missing it’s arm covering.
The third day and final in this concept for now, was to take the idea to a ‘complete’ humanoid in more pristine form. This robot is made from the same DC moor, surface-mount button and crimp terminal connectors.
Below you can see the completed set. I’ll expand it further in a later project – these guys would make a great series. But for now, the creative juices need to flow again so tomorrow’s robot will follow an entirely different concept.
